The rest of September

The month has been full of fun activities even despite the fact that we have had sooooo much rain. I don't think I will ever get use to it and maybe its because I don't have to, but seriously...soooo much!!!

OUR GARDEN
Despite the fact that we get absolutely ZERO sunshine in our backyard, which is something we didn't know...we still got some fruits of our labors, but next season we will only do shady plants. Either way, it wasn't all in vain.
I got 4 cucumber like this, and the dear ate about 3 of them. I got 2 jalapenos and 1 cayenne pepper. We also got lots of lettuce, chives and herbs.

HIGH SCHOOL FLASHBACK PARTY!
This was such a blast. Unfortunately it was also on the same day as tons of other events so there wasn't a ton of people but it was great! We brought pictures of ourselves in high school, all dressed up as a stereotype, ate cafeteria food and played games all related to high school subjects. It was a blast!!!
The cowgirl and Mr "too cool." Ty even had fake earrings in each ear, it was perfect...perfectly gross.

The letterman Jackets...Mike was so excited to bring it out of the vault.
Hatsuho was "school spirit" and I was a girl jock, so I wore my old jersey and my rip pants.
Our senior picture...together.

OUR 5TH ANNIVERSARY!
Because I had a Tri-Stake General Presidency Training all day on our anniversary we did it the following weekend.

Mike needed a BSU T-shirt so I got him that so he could wear it this season.

I made him chicken cor don bleu from scratch because it is his favorite meal, with hollandaise sauce and mashed potatoes and salad. It was pretty yummy!
I wrote him a poem that reflected on the past 5 years of marriage and our dating time. It was so fun to think back in time and then think of things to rhyme.
Mike told me we were doing something but I didn't have a clue. We dropped Vienna off at our friends the Fitzner's and headed out to Independence. He had booked a hotel room with a Jacuzzi tub in the room. It was my first time leaving Vienna overnight, but it wasn't bad at all. We had lots of fun, relaxing and taking it easy.

PATTERSON FARM

Vienna had to literally smell every flower pot at the farm, every color every size...it took forever!

We went specifically to get more of these AMAZING Honey crisp Apples (they are like a drug for me) but I also wanted to pick some apples as I never have done that before. First thing first...put Vienna to work and she loved it!

Playing on the haystack
Their apple fritters are HUGEnormous and yummers, Mike munching away. Look at the cool white pumpkins in the background.
They have soooo many unique donut flavors, but this one made me think of Canada so I had to take a picture. I did get a few, but only the pumpkin donut, the apple cider donut and the plain maples. They are really good.
Vienna playing with the pumpkins

DADDY'S FOOTBALL GAME!
Mike plays intramural football at his school, each year has their own team. The 2nd years are the "TOOTHFAIRIES" I really need to get a picture of his jersey, but once our 3rd year friends showed up we got distracted.

Evelyn was so good at sharing her fishies with Vienna and then half way through the night they switched snacks all together. It was so cute!

September has been a great month!!!

Cake and Tutu...

My sister Lanae is such a talented photographer and got an idea to have Vienna in a tutu with just a cake and let her get all messy. Well of course the day we had planned with good weather and such was a grumpy day for little V, but Lanae's got skills so we pushed forward and still managed to get some good shots. doing things like this really help me to appreciate all that photographers go through with little ones. Lanae you are worth every penny!!!

Shelby and Ben's Wedding

Thanks again to my Mom and Dad for allowing both Mike and I to be there.
Vienna and I arrived more than a week before the wedding so we could be there for Shelby's shower and her endowments. I'm so glad I got to be there with her in the temple. There really isn't anything more important and special than being with someone in the Temple for the first time. I was able to be there with Dane, now Shelby and I can't wait to be there with Lanae.
It was busy, no doubt. But it was so nice to visit with so much family.

At the Cleveland Airport waiting to board our flight, Vienna made a friend and both of them were in the carry-on sizer for quite a while.

Not only did Papa take Vienna for a walk almost everyday with the dogs but he also got up super early with her on that first day, so I could sleep and he loved playing with her in the yard. They had loads of fun together.

Vienna on the ride-on lawnmower with Mema, getting ready for a big shin dig at the house. She thought that was pretty cool.
Vienna spending time with the bride-to-be. Even her Aunt Chubbs got up with her a few mornings, which was impressive.
Vienna ABSOLUTELY LOVED the puppies. There is Weber and Boise and they are so good with her. She started saying Puppy in a really high pitched voice everytime she saw them and would tough their nose, eyes etc. and they would just sit there. IT was so cute to watch. She also loved the cat, but she wasn't interested in Vienna at all.

Once family started to arrive, Pam and Steve had everyone over for dinner and a night out on their porch, which is awesome!!! It was beautiful weather and fun to catch up with everyone. This is Vienna and I with the Larson kids.
Some of the gang just chillin
We first attempted pigtails in Vienna's hair here. It kinda hit me that her hair might be long enough and shortly after that Vienna was screaming in Mema's room. Getting the pigtails is the torture, but they are so cute after that.
so amongst all the wedding craziness, peaches had to be canned. Look at these hard workers...
Once we arrived in Cardston, we fed everyone and of course to tidy up was Grandma and Aunt Cindy.
We all went to the basement and did glitter toes. This is the majority of the wedding party.
Vienna at the temple in her flower girl dress
4 Generations, except Cindy is my Aunt and not my Mom, but it just happened this way
Isn't the Carston temple so beautiful! I'm glad I got to go again.

Luckily with the wedding being on a Friday, that left Saturday with no expectations and boy did we pack it in. We toured downtown Calgary with Gina and Kyle's crew, Janelle and Ryan, Pam and Steve, The Simmonds, Dane and Sarah and Lanae. It was lots of fun! Then we came back, visited with Connie, Natasha and the kids. We all made a Superstore run together to get our much needed Canadian Candy, chocolate and chips. Back the the house for fun on the trampolines, dinner, Bocce ball, a fire
At the C-train station we realized we all were wearing plaid.
Together again. Vienna and I were without Mike for 10 days, so it was nice to be together again.
Vienna took to Aunt Sarah quicker than Uncle Dane, but she got there after a few days.
Natasha, Lanae, Me, Connie and Mom. Connie and her girls are just like family. We have been friends forever. It was so good to see them, even though it was short.
The weather was so nice after our day trip downtown, the girls needed to play in the pool and run around nakey. Oh how fun to be young!
Getting around in the nude. How cute!
Vienna just loving having her Daddy back.
Jumping on the tramp naked too.
everyone on one tramp watching Dane do tricks on the other tramps. (there are 3)
Giving Mema loves!
Giving Nan loves!
Sonia and Josephine. I am so sad that I don't have a pic of us together.

Stay tuned for pics from the visit we had with Uncle Dane and Aunt Sarah here in Cleveland just a week after the wedding.

TO BEN AND SHELBY FAIRBANKS!!! All the best in Edmonton and in the adventure called marriage. We love you both!!!
