17 weeks and Family Reunion travels

On Saturday I reached my 17th week and Thanks to Bree and her thoughtful-ness I can keep tabs in the pics with the cute little chalk board sign she made me. All is going really well and our big ultrasound in on Aug 8th! Can't wait. I think its a boy based on some things I saw at the 12 week ultrasound and Mike just always thinks its a boy. Thank goodness he is wrong...sometimes.
Mike and Vienna get to go visit Grandma and Grandpa in Washington for a Davis family reunion and spend time with all of her cousins. Here she is ready to leave for the airport.
 She is so excited!
I tried to get her to do a pose that I could see her backpack
 The travel buddies!
What a cute duo, even with Mike's creepy mustache, he still looks pretty good. I finaly got a shot of Vienna's cute backpack. They will have such a fun week!

Our Visit with the Simmonds

We had such a fun time with our good friends the Simmond's. They drove 3 days from Edmonton to be with us and boy did we live it up!
All the kiddos playing in the sandbox

Our walk to Dairy King, where we got ice cream and let ourselves get super messy
We spent all afternoon filling water balloons to have a huge water balloon fight and last minute we decided it was boys (Mike and Joel..and Lincoln but he just wanted to be with his Mama.) against all of us girls and of course we killed them (or they let us win) but we sure did have a blast. It took about 3 minutes to destroy 200 water balloons. So worth it!

On the roof of the Garfield memorial at the Lake View Cemetary
This is Sonia gracefully buckling in all the girls in that back seat, oh the joys!
We went up to Palmyra to do the Sacred Grove, the printing press and the infamous Cumorah Pageant and it was a disgustingly hot day, so hot, we barely survived. None the less we did and here is a fun picture of Vienna and I at the Christus in the Cumorah Hill visitors center. There is such a special feeling there.
The gilrys waiting for the pageant to start and making candy necklaces that Peggy had sent each one of them and it was a perfect use of time. Even though at 8:15pm (the show starts at 9:15) a huge rain storm rolled in and there was tons of lightning and thunder so they cancelled the show. We were so bummed as we were heading Niagara Falls the next day and had come all this way....
Lincoln and his Daddy in their towels at the hotel. Mike looks ginormous compared to Lincs man
Getting ready for Maids of the Mist...love it. Vienna had been talking about going on this Boat since Canada Day. Poor girl she had to wait for a really long time.
Niagara Falls Fun street on the Canada side.
Enjoying ice cream at Niagara falls to make all the walking more enjoyable.
dancing around while we are waiting for eveyone. She was rolling all over the ground too. What a girl
eating outside and eating with disposable dishes was the best thing ever it made clean up super easy so we could spend more time together.
Enjoying his dinner :)

Mike what happened to your face???
2 handsome boys. This is the beginning of our adventure in Chagrin Falls to the ice cream shop, the falls and the park. He sure loves his shoes.
curly haired lady, loving the water.
This is the best park for Lincoln because it had stairs and a little guy friendly slide. it was a broken record over and over and over again, loving each and every minute.
Dorothy swinging down the slide
A nice view of Josephine
This is an epic picture of Joel..love him!
On your marks, get set, go!
So American!
We attempted a sleep over on the last night the girls were here and we gave them 1 hour and 15mins before we broke it up. There were tears a few times, singing, dancing, laughing, changing spots, potty parties, you name it, it happened. We'll have to try again another time.
Our last night Sonia and I realized that we once again didn't have a picture of just us or the whole gang so right before we went to bed, when we were looking super hot (no make-up and Pj's) to take some. At least its something right.
I decided to be a goofball with my hair and face, boy does it show.

We had such a fun time with them. Vienna was in heaven and played really well with Josephine and Dorothy, but the 2 younger girls seemed to get on each others nerves after about a week, but that is to be expected. Josephine was a Mom to all of them and all of them wouldn't leave Lincoln alone EVER! which drives me nuts with Vienna but having 3 do it was quite a challenge. He endured it well, perhaps better than me. Other than that, we LOVED every moment of our time with them and are so glad we got to share our home and the wonderful aspects of this area with our good freinds.
Thanks Simmonds for coming so far to spend your time off with us! We loved it!

Vienna's First 5K at Historic Kirtland

We have had lots of fun enjoying the summer weather! Vienna has been asking lately about having her own medal when she sees our ones displayed in our room from our various runs, so the First Historic Kirtland 5K was the perfect place to start and she did great! The cutest part about it all was that she couldn't sleep the night before and kept knocking on the door saying things like "Mommy, I will need to bring my waterbottle" "Mommy will I get a medal?" "Mommy I need to wear my new shoes that light-up" We even stumbled across a little Dri-Fit shirt for her run and she loved it.
Look at these cute kiddos having a tea party - oh the fun and the mess.
This is me at 14weeks pregnant - I can't believe I'm already showing
Splash park fun!!!
So much more relaxing  than the pool for the Mommy!

Here is my little runner - she even had her own bib number.

It was hot but well worth it.

She was so excited to get a medal that her Daddy who loves her so much, made sure he made her a princess medal as we knew that they were only giving medals to those individuals that placed. But low and behold she did place 3rd in her age group which is hilarious because she kinda cheated with jumping into the jogger here and there. But either way, she got her own real medal.
Cute siblings!
Just us, no kids.
Harrison's, Davis' and Clark's
I love doing races they keep you on your toes, even if you are pregnant.

HAPPY CANADA DAY and Other Happenings in June

HAPPY CANADA DAY! Living down in the States during this Holiday is hard because very few people even know it's Canada Day, so I always try to bring the Spirit into our home. Plus my kids aren't being exposed to much Canadian culture down here :( Luckily one of my bestest friends has sent me and my kiddos Canadian shirts and paraphenalia ever year, on her own accord and i LOVE IT! Thanks so much Aarika! This year my husband also contributed to my desires and surprised me with some special Canadian goodies.
A Canada poster, which Vienna loves to do!
An ABC book all about Canada, which I love!
This is a bib from Aarika

We tried really hard to get a good picture but with a 3 year old "mom" trying to make her 1 year brother do the right thing, we had no luck. Vienna is wearing her shirt from Arrika and Lincoln is wearing his onesie from her and I am wearing my shirt that Lanae and I bought in Niagara falls last year with my pants that I have had for 15 years ish. I had to work today so no big celebrations were had, but I have bing plans for next year and every year after that and I can't wait!!!

I didn't put all of these pics on here on purpose but obviously the first one was our best one and they all have their struggles.

This is what they looked like straight out of the box.
Right now, Calgary (my home town) is recovering from the worst natural disaster it has ever seen and I am sad that I can't be there to help all the flood victims and serve my fellow Calgarians, but one thing I know for sure is we are strong and have a hard working mindset and even though there is so much damage and devastation we are still having fireworks downtown with an emphasis on taking city transit and bringing home garbage and debris from all the flooding. How awesome and as far as I know, my hometowns biggest event of the year, "The Calgary Stampede" is still going to happen despite the flooding. We need all the Spirit and rejuvenation we can get and it makes me so happy and proud to see the positive attitudes of everyone.

On another note these are some of our other fun things that happened in June!
Vienna has flourished in her swim lessons and has become quite the dare devil in the water.

Her last day of the session before the swim party, this is such a cute picture. At the swim party they let you break all the rules and go down the slide with your instructor or jump off the diving board to them and she did both of those things several times. It was so cute to watch her!
Mike is pretty much the best Dad and husband ever. I was outside working in the yard and came in to find Mike and Vienna and I was told not to come in the room because it was a surprise. Once I was let in the room I discovered a fort over her bed and she was thrilled. In fact it stayed this way for quite a few days. What a cute man to think of such a fun idea for her!
Last but not least...
Vienna is not in a big-big girl booster seat that using a real seatbelt.

My big Lincoln man is now a forward facing dude and loving every minute of it.
Things are going really well and I am 13 weeks pregnant and showing and it sucks, but my body knows what this pregnancy thing is all about and its going there quickly.
Mike is loving being a Sr in dental school and not having the evil Dr. D to answer to. He has officially decided to not do a GPR (1 year hospital based residency in General dentistry), which means we are officially leaving this area in May June. I still can't believe it, but I'm very excited to see where life will take us next. We love adventure!
