The Past Couple of Weeks, Patterson Farms and Lincoln is 17 MOnths Today!

I have a really strict moral code about decorations...I LOVE TO DECORATE..however I despise how other holidays take over other holidays. For example, Christmas stuff is already out in stores...what the heck? Its not even October. So I decorate for Autumn (only) in September then Halloween in October, then Thanksgiving in November and Christmas in December. THis just makes sense. "Back to school" came out in stores July, which totally made me feel like Summer was over. Things are too commercialized. Sorry for my rant, but here are some pics of my "AUTUMN" decorations.
Such great colors. I LOVE AUTUMN!

We had a Family fondue dessert and boy did things get messy. But it was delish!

Lincoln had his friend Kailey over for a bit the other day and they played really well together.
We went on a walk at a new metropark in the area and we couldn't keep this one out of the grass.
This is a glimpse of how WILD Vienna's hair can be in the mornings.
He is such an oatmeal MOnster..why can't it be a cleaner food to eat???

TOday we went to Patterson's Farm and got their O-so-delicious Honey Crisp Apples, a donut and took part in their Fall Family Fun Fest! It was a blast!

The tractor park/slide was a hit with the little boys.
he found a piece of broken stem on the pumpkin
On the hayride (tractor pull) heading out to all the activities
There were a bunch of tractors for the kids to crawl in and play on, this was an old combine with a box full of corn. The kids love it! (when I changed Lincoln afterward I found corn in his diaper, shoes, pants...everywhere!) I loved the smell because it brought back memories of spending time at my cousins farm. Those were the good 'ol days!
This is a 30ft slide that is in the tree and we all had such a blast going down it, over and over and over!
My favorite things were the little Tractor Tricycles that were actually made out of metal and just like a tractor.
The tire swing was a blast too! Vienna with her good friend Sloan. (too bad they are missing Evie)
Lincoln on a really big tractor

Finally...our little man is 17 Months old today!
A BIT ABOUT 17 Month old LINCOLN
Currently he is pretty average size, bigger than his sister was but he is a boy. He is pretty much running. It's more of a trot, but thats about all his little legs can do for now. He is obsessed with cars, trucks (especially real ones), climbing up on things, closing doors (just lately), being in the bathroom whenever anyone else is, pushing any button (in the van, garage door, turning on/off lights and of course his snuggly (it's quite adorable)
He has several words: dirty, backpack, ouch, push, off, on, more, please, Nenna, Mama, Dada, rock, walk, and truck (which all kinda sound the same right now), dog etc.
He knows where several of his body parts are (eyes, cheeks, tongue, lips, nose, hair, forehead, ears, belly button, toes etc)
If I ask him to go get his socks and shoes he does it and comes back to have me put them on. He understands a ton!
We are working on holding our hands in parking lots and dangerous places and he doesn't want to be carried anymore, he asks to walk.
He is a little lost while Vienna goes to pre-school, especially at the gym at child watch all alone :( poor guy
He LOVES his big sister so much, it is adorable! Thank goodness she is such a sweet heart and for the most part loves him back just as much!
He, of course, loves his Daddy! he just lights up whenever Daddy gets home from school.
He isn't a great napper, on average it is 1 - 1 hour nap and I'd much prefer it to be about 2 hours. he goes to bed at 7 for the most part and wakes up at 7. he is a great sleeper.
He still only has 10 teeth, 8 anteriors and his 2 top molars, but his bottoms one will be in very soon. He gets 1 bottle before bed and some milk during the day, but doesn't seem too interested in that lately.
He really enjoys giving kisses, reading books, going on walks, playing outside, playing with any ball and wrestling. When music comes on he loves to dance. We also play hide and seek, which he seems to enjoy (he is a very good finder, but not so great at hiding) and is really getting interested in puzzles too.
All in all he is pretty chill, but if you do something to upset him, he will let you know with a yell, or if he is bored in the car he will yell. Its funny but can be annoying too.
Lets see...He is very spacially aware of his body and when he falls down he just brushes it off. No whining, just a tough guy. His right eye still has a blocked tear duct and he may need to have surgery done, but otherwise he is a completely healthy little man. We just love getting to know him better and seeing his little personality flourish. We love having our little Linc's man in the Fam!

Indian's Game Date and 23 weeks Pregnant!

Well it was our last Indian's game before we move and it was so fun! We rode down on the train, partook of the infamous $1 Dog and got to enjoy a really big game. Even Swisher hit a Grand Slam! The fireworks were really good too! I'm glad we got to go together!
I wore Mike's shirt
Look at our totally politically incorrect shirts! Hilarious!
I feel so big this time around...come on Everett, stay small!

Labor Day Long Weekend

We had such a great time as a family!
First we headed out to Lake Farm Park but ended up at Penitentiary Glen because Lake Farm had too much to do in too short of a time. It was really fun!
Vienna got to dress up as an apiarist and learn that bees make honey
We got to see lots of wild life and sit on a butterfly bench
Mike got to go in an Eagle's nest
Luckily Lincoln still likes to go in his stroller
Lincoln had his first dum-dum and loved every minute of it.
We went on a hike about 30mins South of us called "The Ledges" It was so much fun! the kids loved it and so did we.
It was so hot and humid but the caves and crevices and trees were refreshing.
We found a frog and played with it and we found a ton of slugs!
This is kind of a scary pic because it looks like the rock is leaning in on Vienna.
We had a great time!
