Girls Night Out!!!

AARIKA, CAROLYN, ME & JULIANNE

These are my girls! What I mean by that is, us girls go waaaaaay back! Carolyn, Julianne and I go back as far as elementary school and Aarika since junior high. The best part about friendships like these is that we know everything...the awkard stages, old boyfriends, the stupid things we've done, played on sports teams together...everything. We can just be ourselves, no one to impress and best of all we have done a really good job at staying in contact. Each one of us is a very different places in life. Aarika will be having her second child any day now, Carolyn is engaged and recently graduated from U of C as a teacher. Julianne is a nurse, kinda single and is going back to school to get her MBA at Oxford of all places in a couple days. Then there is me, a new grad, and married with no kids. No matter what we still have great times and pick off right where we left off. How great it is to have wonderful friends!!!

This is just us being goofy! You can't tell but Aarika shoved one of Julianne's tassles from scarf down my throat by accident. We just have so much fun. At least I have some sort of social life while I am away from my sweet Mikey.

My Little Sleeping Buddy!

So while Mike and I have been apart I have found myself a sleeping buddy. She is actually Shelby's little kitten, Ula! Chubbs found her on the side of the road as a little baby. We have a lot of fun together and she keeps me distracted from missing my hubby with all of her purring and attention while I sleep. She has such a great personality, almost like a dog which is probably why I like her, normally I am not a cat fan.

Back in Calgary!!!

So things are going well here back in my hometown of Calgary, Alberta, Canada! I have been here for 9 days, and have worked most of those days. The weather is much colder than I would like it to be and being in shelby's room is super wierd. Me and her have kinda switched places, but I think she is having so much fun! I miss my hubby, but it is nice to be making some real money - no offense, cheap Boise! I sure miss Mikey. I know he is very busy with his semester of O-Chem, physics, ecology and "some" biology, along with volunteer work, his calling, observing and just surviving. We will see each other on Sept 25th, but our second anniversary is on the 9th, so that is sad :( we are celebrating on the 25th though. So it is weird not being in school, I am starting to read the twilight books because my sister Lanae gave me the first one for graduation, now that she knows I will have a bit more free time. I miss our ward and our friends but I know time will fly by. I hope everyone enjoyed their Labour Day long weekend. I sure did, just catching up and relaxing. Well that's all for now.
