Old Bunny Cage Bonfire!

This is what we do for fun on acreages. We had angora bunnies about 7 years ago and for some reason still had to cage my dad made. One day I decided to get my pyro brother, Dane and my photographer sister to help me burn it.

Finally we got it centered over the firepit and then we let Dane get things going.

Blazing Away!

Here I am doing back draft where the air rushes in and fuels the fire, it is oh so HOT!

Here lies the final resting place of the old Bunny cage.

Canadian Thanksgiving!

Up here in Canada we celebrate Thanksgiving sooner because our harvest is sooner. In most areas up here, if we waited until the end of november to celebrate harvest, it would be full-on winter. It was nice and relaxing to have an extra day off, because I am working like crazy. I worked on saturday, and usually Thanksgiving dinner is done on Sunday or Monday but my dad worked sunday and Lanae worked monday so we did it on saturday right as soon as I got home from work. It was delicious! My Grandma made her well known pumpkin pies, my mom made a first time fresh apple pie and everything else was tradition stuff, like mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, apple salad, stuffing (but with sausage this time), gravy, etc.

Grandma with the babies she made all of her granddaughters, that are so real, its amazing. They even have little bumb cracks and belly buttons.

My parents and Dane went to a wedding reception and looked very fancy so I had to take a picture.

Nan & Grandad joined us for dinner and then we got both Nan & Grandma on the Wii fit, which was more entertainment than a movie, according to Grandad!

Mom & Grandma just chillin after a good turkey dinner.

FALL FUN!!!

This is SONIA & JOSEPHINE. Sonia and I are practically like family. We were roomy's back at SAIT and we've been big parts of each others lives for about 7 years now. They came over today to watch the afternoon session of conference and visit. We were lucky to enjoy a beautiful fall day in the leaves and go for a walk to see the horsey's, jump on the tramp and just enjoy the warm but fresh air.

Lanae & Josephine playing in the sun. Too Cute!!!

Josephine & I playing on the trampoline. Love the messy hair.

Our Reuniting Weekend in Boise

This is Mike and I on our way out to celebrate our 2nd Anniversary. I knew he had surprises planned for us while I was in town for the weekend, but I had no idea to what extent. He just told me to wear something a little fancy. It was fun to get dressed up. He took me to GoodWood for a very delicious meal of their infamous brisket. It was very filling, after which he blindfolded me and made me listen to his i-pod so I couldn't hear anything. After driving around for about 10 mins he lead me with eyes closed eyes, which is very difficult, up to a gorgeous suite. It had a full kitchen, TV area, king sized bed and a steam shower. It was fun, but it included drinks, yummy cheesecake desert, a full buffet breakfast, goodies like lotion, a lufa, body wash and several other things. We had a great time just relaxing and taking our minds off of school and work. It was such a treat! The time sure went by too quickly. We are already counting down the days that we will see each other again. October 30th isn't that far away, right??? Now we have to plan something fun to do for Halloween.

This was such a comfy and huge bed!!! Someday we will have to get a king.

Mike brought one of our wedding pictures and displayed it on the table, there was sparkling cider and caramel/chocolate popcorn. It really was wonderful! Kudos to Mikey for sure.

The tub and steam shower-sauna thing was great. Maybe we can have one of those in our house in the very far away future.
