Our Valentine's and a few other things..

Valentine's Day morning. This is the only picture I have of Lincoln that is cute and he is looking at me.
The kids little Valentine's from Mom and Dad
 Light-up heart necklaces...say what!!!
 Vienna's Valentine's Day outfit!
Only some of the Valentine's Vienna came home with. How fun for her!
Our new family tradition... Heart dinner! I did add pineapple to the Hawaiian side.
For next year, I'm definitely in the market for a really small heart cookie cutter. This took too much time.
You can't tell with the flash but this is by candle light. The kids thought that was kinda fun!
This year I decided to do "14 Days of Valentine's" for Mike and it was lots of fun doing a small or bigger thing each day leading up to Valentine's. He is so good to me, how could I not do this for him.Next year we are looking forward to hosting our own "Couple Connection" Party.
Speaking of which...we won this year!! Normally we suck royally, but we won and it was so much fun!

On to other things in life...
Vienna is continuing to learn her alphabet at preschool and is enjoying it most days. There is quite a bit expected of her and so some days are tough on her.
This Winter has been awful and we have had so many snow days it is ridiculous (I'm a Canadian, they don't cancel for anything). Here she is decking herself out in princess stickers. Isn't she such a doll :)
Today we made love potions or witch brews, which ever you prefer. The kids loved it! It was the old vinegar and baking soda trick, with food coloring.
Lincoln was in heaven and wanted to do it all day. It was so cute to watch his face while saying "Oh bubble, Mama, bubble!!" Everytime.
We had a great time, so much that we did it all over again from the top. Good times!

On a more serious life changing note...we will be moving to the Tri-Cities for a few years. We couldn't be happier and are super excited to live so close to both our families and be reunited with some great friends. Finding a place to live is our next big priority...but it will all work out. Here we come TC!!!

Everett's Blessing

Feb 2nd was a special day for our family and little Everett. His blessing and our first good family photo.
O my, these two are just too cute for words.
Here is Everett's full outfit. The little vest with the tie. Too handsome!
We're not sure why they always have these train conductor hats, but we had to take 1 picture with it on.

And he is out.
We have a special little boy to take care of. His Daddy was able to give him a very nice blessing that had lots about service. We are so blessed to have him apart of our family.
And here it is, our first "good" family photo. We tried hard while my Dad was here but it just didn't work. At least we got one. Even Everett had a matching outfit but you can barely see it.

The Rest of January...I'll get to February soon :)

Truthfully January was a complete blur, but at least there are some pictures to prove that it actually did happen!
Lincoln and Everett get to have some 1 on 1 time while Vienna is at pre-school. He really does love the baby and is much less in his face than Vienna is to both of them, but he still likes to be near him and play with him.
These 2 little ones are so awesome!
This outfit it too cute! Such a dapper little man
Little brother, need I say more?
These are such great pictures. I love the Jammies, I love the baby and most of all I love the Daddy :)
This statement couldn't be more true and not just with Everett but with Lincoln as well.
Tee hee, what a girl!
Staring competition while on tummy time!
My dear Tali Nay spoiled us rotten with a giant cookie bouquet and an adorable sweater and dress shirt combo from Janie and Jack. I'm so glad we have each other!
Yes, we started Valentines crafts in January. In fact at this time they made Mema & Papa's and G-ma and G-pa's Valentines. Thank goodness because with all the Valentines we have done for Vienna's Teachers, pre-school classmates, dance class friends and Sunbeams class we are pooped out. Thank goodness its on Friday. On a plus note, she has mastered spelling her full name all by herself!!! I took a picture today and will post it soon.
The story behind this rainbow:
I'm a go-getter person and Mom. Sometimes I feel like its worth it and sometimes I feel like it doesn't matter. (Like doing things like crafts, activities and going out to fun places etc.)
On this particular I was feeling like it didn't matter at all. First of all, let me remind you that I have a 2 week old, am sleep deprived and have little kids that have been couped up from cold weather. I decide we're going to paint, and not just the normal paint. We are going to paint the fun clay things we made with Daddy. I get everything prepped, get the kids all covered in smocks get all the paints out get the kids set-up to go, let them start painting and sit down to paint my rainbow and literally I do the red and Lincoln is done. So I ignore him for a git but then it gets worse. I finish the orange and then I have to attend to him. While I clean his mess and him I start doing my yellow, then Vienna says she is done. I then proceed to clean up her and her mess. Technically its almost lunch, but all the stuff is out and I just want to finish painting this. So I do green and purple amongst Lincoln trying to tell me he wants to paint again, crawling back up the table etc. So I get fed up and clean it all up except the blue and a paint brush. I make lunch and I'm grumpy. I couldn't even take 10mins to paint this bloody rainbow. Lunch comes and goes and I'm getting ready to put the kids down for naps and quiet time. On the way to her room Vienna asks me, "Mom, why didn't you finish your rainbow?" and I respond very grumpily, "Because no one will let me. All I want is 10mins of time, thats it!"
She goes to quiet time and I lay down with Everett to take a nap. After a while I hear Vienna get up and I just leave her because she is quiet and Im tired. Sometimes she goes potty or starts playing with toys. Once I hear Lincoln I get up. Once I go into the kitchen I see this...the blue painted for me. She had put a little paint out, painted it, closed up the paint and layed the paint brush on the paper. No mess, no hint of her doing it. I go to find her and she has a bit of paint on her finger which had been transferred to her lip, but otherwise, clean. I ask her "Vienna, did you do something you weren't suppose to?" she looks at me a bit concerned. I say, "Why did you paint the blue on Mommy's rainbow?" she said "I was trying to finish it for you because no one let's you." I thought that was so sweet of her, it completely melted my heart and I said, "Thank you so much sweety for being so thoughtful. That was very nice of you."
I really couldn't believe it. But it goes to show just how intuitive little ones are and how thoughtful my little Vienna girl is. I'm so grateful to have her!
