Oh the Joys...

There are so many joys in life and this past weekend was one of those memorable times to look back on.
Let me just start by saying, about 4 months ago Mike asked me, "Can I spend a little money on something for you?" I said sure because Mike never spends money. Then nothing more was said for a couple of weeks until one time he said, 'I got something for you."
Then again, I never saw anything. Well a couple of weeks ago he asked if he could plan a Saturday. Uh, "OF COURSE" was my answer.
Friday evening was a blast...we headed out to the Case Farm (which is awesome!) for a BBQ potluck and played water baseball, which for those of you who don't know, is a BLAST! (1st, 2nd and 3rd base are kiddy pools and you have to slide on a slip-n-slide to get home. You play with a rubber beach ball and kick it instead) It was kid heaven and considering there were as many kids as adults it got a bit crazy.

We played husbands against wives and we did good, but our kids love us more so we had way more interruptions. Because of this we really did win.

So saturday I was asking probing questions just to see if Mike would give away any hints. He is good. I asked if I could make a yummy breakfast, what time we'd be leaving, etc. He said, "we need to leave by 10:30, it doesn't matter what you wear and you don't need to get ready" so my mind was like...what??? off we went, in directions I had only been 2-3 times. We arrive here

Now I've never been able to be much of a spa goer, even though I LOVED my pedicure that I got with Lanae before I had Vienna. I was like....what...here?? So many possibilities. Mike brings me in, gives the lady a groupon of some kind and says "This is Ethney for her 11am appointment, she has never been here and doesn't know why she is here." well all the ladies thought that was so awesome. They gave us a tour and then sat in in the lounge to wait for my person. This is when Sonia calls me to ask about our couches, my lady came shortly thereafter so I passed the phone to Mike. It turned out I was there for a full facial with a shoulder/neck massage. It was 1 hour long and so amazingly wonderful!!! So relaxing, I needed a nap after that. He came and got me, Vienna and him had a little daddy daughter date. We went home for nap time, but we had to leave by a certain time so we had to wake Vienna up to go to our next destination. On our way out, we stopped to pick up the Fitzner's which threw me off, but I quickly figured it out...we went to our all you can eat Sushi place in Parma. Oh so fun...I didn't have to make dinner. Oh we also watched a movie and played some Wii ( we are playing the old school Mario Bros. 3) so many memories. To top it all off, when we got home there was a package between the doors and it was from Aarika and it had this in it...

So thoughtful of her. She said when she saw it at Superstore (I heart Superstore) she thought of me. Which is so true!!! A moose with a Maple leaf...perfect!

Sunday was Linger Longer and then dessert at our Bishop's with the missionaries.

Man I was pampered this weekend and it was for no reason at all. Just because my hubby loves me...I guess..or maybe he is sucking up for something...nope, can't think of anything.

Man I love my Man!!!
