October is such a fun, busy Month!

Among the real business part of life there is always the fun that has to come with it. Mike had an idea to do a Dia De Los Muertos Pumpkin for both our ward Halloween Party and our Friends Halloween Party competitions. I jumped right on board and luckily we were able to use some of my pottery carving tools from ages ago to make it turn out. It was a blast to work together on this.
This is the almost complete deal, just the eyes weren't completely done.
Me working away...
Mike working away...
A picture of it fully completed!

Also, we really like to put some effort and thought into our costumes and so far we have a pretty good winning track record. With Mike's fat ballerina to Wayne and Garth to me being an oven with a bun in it to announce Lincoln and Mike being the chef it took us a while to find somthing to work with yet another baby bump and so, Mike came up with a "White trash shotgun wedding bride and groom" and boy was it good...or REALLY BAD. We both looked hideous as you can see...

Our group of friends at the party.
Me: Bad make-up, buck teeth (custom made by Mike), bad hair, carnation fake flower bouquet with matching fake flower head piece, a homemade veil, a cigarette, black wedge shoes and socks. Yikes!
Mike: Mullet (a must), giant snaggle tooth and a missing tooth (custom made by him), nasty purple corsage, cut-off blazer with plaid shirt and orange bow-tie, ripped up jeans and steal toe boots. We were both nasty!
Laurel's cute decorations...
Our pumpkin and costumes did win!
Here is more of a full body, but kind of blurry.

So on October 24th we had our first Snow Day, of many I'm sure! It was a super heavy wet snow and because all the leaves are still on the trees is caused so many branches to break which also caused power outages everywhere. It was bad new for our neighbor for sure and we were woken up by branches hitting our home, but luckily didn't suffer any power outages. By 9am we were outside in our snowsuits playing as Vienna was upset that preschool was cancelled.
Getting ready to go play
After playing outside, waiting to drink Apple cider.
Vienna's already too short snowsuit (but I'm grateful for the hand-me-down)
Lincoln in his $10 snowsuit I got on clearance at the end of last year! Fits perfect!
They are so cute together!
Healthy snack...snow!

We do family home evening on Sunday mornings, we find the kids get so much more out of it b/c its morning and its a fun time to prepare, especially when I was working on Mondays and we were both so exhausted. It has been great for our family. We are basically just following the primary lesson outline to plan our lessons and Mike and I alternate each week. Daddy always plays the piano for us and I was going potty while he warmed up and I came out of the bathroom to this...
2 adorable kiddos waiting to sing our opening hymn of "The Spirit of God"
It was too cute! I just love these kiddos!

Unfortunately at our ward Chili cook-off and Trunk-or-treat, it was so busy and tons going on that we didn't take any pictures, however we still have Halloween night to get these cute ones in their pirate costumes. It's so cute how Lincoln even know what to say, "Arghh" Luckily it's suppose to be warm too. My fingers are crossed! Stay tuned for pics of them.

Pumpkin Carving and 29 Weeks Prego!

So We did it, we carved a pumpkin with the kiddos. It was a blast!
Lincoln helping me get ready...yah right!
in action...
This little cutey just anxiously waiting
Choosing a design, Vienna ended up picking a gremlin
There she is holding her Jack-o-lattern (even though Mike isn't in many of these pics, he did most of the carving, and I have videos of him doing all the work.)
hilarious! Shortly after this picture, lincoln took the bowl of guts and dumped them on his head, then the plastic got all slippery and he fell, then Vienna slipped. It was like a skating rank. Good thing, it was a bath night b/c they were covered in pumpkin guts and seeds. Good times!
All lit up!
Daddy helped Vienna carve a V. What an awesome Daddy!
Vienna and Lincoln did their hand prints and mailed them to their Grandparents and this is what Grandpa and Grandma Davis sent us back. LOL! Too cute! Alan even colored his own and Peg did hers.
Here I am, trucking along, with 2.5 Months to go!

Stay tuned for our award winning Jack-o-lantern and pics of our award winning Halloween costumes. Mike and I are pretty stoked about them both!!!

Our house is all Halloweeny!

HALLOWEEN is so fun!!! I like the FUN part much more than the SCARY part but all in all we really enjoy all the festivities that come along with it. Decorating, Pumpkin carving, decorating sugar cookies etc...
The kids painted mini pumpkins and we made our potato head pumpkin all together.
Halloween wreath, ghosts in the bushes, spider webs and spiders on our railings
Alfonso our scarecrow, our skeleton bag, which we have now added a ghost and Frankenstein is next.
When you walk in...
On my shelf...
My Jack-o-lantern Scentsy, which I LOVE! and other window stickys
Of course our season gourds, which provide much entertainment!

The Joys of Fall

This time of year is so fun! We are loving the cooler weather and the colors of the leaves out here are so gorgeous! It's hard to believe this our last Fall out here in Cleveland. We will miss it terribly, that is why we are making the most of it!
Vienna is really enjoying her preschool and learning so much! A with apples. B with Blue Buttons, Bows and Bears and C with cotton balls(or clouds if you ask Vienna)
We are so blessed to live so close to the Kirtland Historical sights and even luckier to have had Elder Ballard come for Stake Conference last weekend. They made an entire weekend out of it with stuff on Fruday night, Saturday morning was a walk at the sights and a Pancake Breakfast with the priesthood and adult session that afternoon and evening and then a YOuth session on sunday morning and normal conference. What a busy man. The adult session was absolutely amazing! I loved every minute of it and got to sit on the second row, thanks to our good friend Riley. My spirit was so touched (I'm sure not having kids there was a huge component. LOL) but it was mostly being in the presence of such amazing men. I'm so grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Each day my testimony and beliefs are strengthened and it is evident to me that My Heavenly Father really does love and know everything about me and our family. Living out here and visiting all the historical church sites has enabled to me feel the special Spirit of the early members of the Church and to really know more about Joseph Smith's life's mission and sacrifices. I will be forever grateful for our time in The Ohio!!!

Patterson's with Daddy and 26 weeks pregnant!

Swinging together on the horsey swing, how sweet these moments are!
Play-doe time, which Lincoln absolutely loved and didn't try to eat the play-doe once. Good boy!
Swinging, learning how to pump herself!
A FIRST FOR VIENNA..GETTING HER FACE PAINTED! She picked a purple butterfly with red spots and purple sparkles! She did a great job and felt pretty darn special.
Playing in pumpkins is always fun!
Our first family pose in quite a while..sad. At least Lanae will be here to help us out with real family photos. I can't wait!!!
I'm growing, which means little Everett must be.
