38 weeks and Vienna update...

38 weeks and counting...all is going well and we were able to do a maternity photo shoot with Jenny, which I hope worked out with Vienna. She did great considering she is 7 months along herself. I'm definitely doing better this pregnancy, I'm still a bit less weight than I was with Vienna :)

Our little Vienna sure is getting more and more opinionated, but being only 2 makes for some very irrational opinions that are somewhat frustrating. Sometimes by the end of the day they are difficult to endure, but for the most part they are tolerable.
Besides that she is getting so smart and its so funny to see her playing with her toys. She puts them in timeout, wants them to have necklaces like her, she says to her giraffe..."I'm so happy to see you!" she had me put bandaids on all of her favorite toys yesterday. She is quite the character. She likes to be independent but also very dependent at the same time (this is what I'm meaning by irrational) I know its normal to go through this. Here are some more things I can think of...
- she is getting so close to being ready to be potty trained, she loves the rewards of going in the potty.
- coloring/sticking stickers everywhere/play-doh time/making cards for her grandparents are so fun for her.
- she loves going on walks and being outside.
- She know where Lincoln is and if I ask her "where's your baby brother" she says,"right here" pointing to my tummy
- She loves singing songs and reading books
- Mickey mouse is her favorite thing to watch
- She has us kiss all of her stuffed animals good night and her book. Speaking of which last night I went to check on her and she had fallen asleep with her book on her face(see the picture below)
- She loves putting everything toy and thing in tunnels all around the house
- she loves doing her naked dance after bath time, don't even think of putting on her PJ's if she hasn't done her dance.
-She LOVES her dance class and wants to wear a skirt or dress and says, dance class...
- fruit snacks are her favorite and has discovered a love for chocolate
- she really is so sweet and thoughtful, if I bump her she will say "oh sorry Mama" and she often caresses my face with her hand and says "o-k Mama" as she stares right in my eyes. (so darling)
- Her tot-aerobics class at the Y so fun for her, she gets to run and play for a whole hour!

Our little girl is so enjoyable (mostly) the only thing is she seems to be growing out of her nap and I'm not ready for that...aww

I think she will be an over zealous big sister and helper with Lincoln, but we wouldn't have it any other way. Only 1 more week until that little man of ours will be in our arms. Wowsers!

I had my last appointment today and I am at 2-3mm with 75% effacement so all is looking well! Yeah!!!
Oh and my office threw me a surprise shower for me last Monday at work. Our little man got super spoiled, it was so thoughtful of them.
I work this coming Monday, my folks fly in on Tuesday and this house needs to be cleaned, so this next week is going to fly by. I plan to post a 39 week photo as well, but we'll see.

36 week Tummy and Mike's Championship Game!

Here I am at 36 weeks. At 37 weeks I am considered full term...I seriously can't believe it. All is still going well, more uncomfortable by the minute, but no complaints!!! I am so excited to do some maternity photos with Vienna in them and stuff, it will be so fun!

This was Mike's second season playing in an Interfaith Basketball League, which has been so fun for him. They are pretty good games considering most of the other churches they play have lots of brotha's!
Here is Mike right at the beginning of the game waiting for tip-off before he gets drenched!
The game was really good and I actually got to watch because Vienna stayed home with Inez. It was a great game, it went into double overtime and we ended up winning by 1 point in double overtime. They got a trophy and they are going to put it in the Kirtland Stake center as there are 3 different wards represented here...this is so good for them and I am so glad I got to be there for it! Such cute guys!!!

I also wanted to take a minute and brag about my hubby. So last year for professionals day I called him away because Vienna had broken her arm, this year he was presenting his research that he had done over the summer with aids patients and he ended up winning a prize and $100.00. Which was very unexpected, but he worked hard and did a great job!!! Way to go Mike. Now you have the $ you need for a baseball glove and the fee for your Interfaith Baseball League!!!

Our Little Vienna is Officially 2!!!!

The last two years have been full of life changing experiences. Both Mike and I have learned so much about ourselves, each other and what it means to be a parent. Personally it has been such a marvelous experience. Even though there are lots of frustrations, exhaustion and worries, being a mother is such a special experience. Parts of me that I have discovered for the first time are all from having my little lady around. Thank you Vienna for teaching your Mommy so much about love, life and happiness.

Vienna is an amazing little girl. She is so happy and easy going. She seems to be super intelligent to me and loves being around people. She is super friendly, very aware of her surrounding and besides not being that great of an eater, she is perfect! I love how she looks right into my eyes and wants to learn all the time. Watching her grow and learn is so special and she never ceases to amaze both her Dad and I.

Some of the cute things she has been saying lately are...

swim"soup" (swimsuit)

Cu"mum"ber (cucumber)

If I ask her where's __________? If she is feeling lazy or doesn't know where it is, she will reply "It washed away."

"Hem Here" (with the hand gesture telling us to come closer to her) (Come here)

"pack pack" (back pack)

She will often say "What happened?" or "what's that?" if she hears a noise or sees me make a face. So funny.

She absolutely loves hugging and kissing and pushing on my tummy. She is very aware of Lincoln and I think she will do super well (maybe too well) having him around. (I mean smothering him.) She will be an amazing big sister.

So for the most part we kept birthday celebrations simple because we will celebrate while her other family members are here (Grandparents) in the next couple of weeks. She still got like 7 "not real" presents from Grandma and Grandpa so we opened those. She got some cute dresses, great clothes and books!
Vienna always likes to make special occasions and holidays extra memorable (like vomiting in Wal-mart just before the trunk or treat, or having a super high fever and being in the ER for New Years countdown and of course last night, she had us up from 11:30-3:30 with a fever of 104 and being delusional. It got us worried enough to call the Dr's and almost go in, but luckily she said it was going around and to let her get some sleep. Finally after some more ibuprofen and cooling her down she stopped ranting about random things and fells asleep, with enough time for us to get about 3.5 solid hours of sleep. She did much better today, thank heavens.
We got her 2 mini cupcakes and put a candle in each one, she didn't even eat the cupcakes she only wanted to blow out the candles over and over and over, until it literally burned into the cake. She would blow them out, take out the candle and then say "more fire" Hilarious.
Our little pyro......
Her 2 cupcakes at the beginning...fun candles. (good pick Daddy!)
Of course the Kansas Jayhawks (Mike's 3 love after me and Vienna) are playing in the National Championship tonight, so we had Vienna wear her Jayhawks jersey for good luck!!! Let's hope it helps! It's size 12 months...
Oh my, so cute!!!
She was so good at opening the presents (Peggy wrapped them easy just for her). Honestly I think she was more excited to just open something then what was actually inside. Note to self. By 1 thing with a few pieces or parts and wrap them all individually. Much cheaper and for her that was the best part.
Minnie Mouse outfit
Opening one of her Easter Lift the flaps book
Lady bug dress
Bumble bee dress

Our gift to her is awesome, but we planned on waiting until my folks are here in a few weeks. We'll see if we can actually hold out...I got it on Black Friday for super cheap so we have been holding off for a while.

I can't believe we have a 2 year old. I really must cherish every second of every minute of every hour of every day of every week - well you get the point!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE NENNA BEAN

She also got phone calls and skypes from Mema and Papa, Auntie Lanae, Great Grandma Betty called her and sent her a card with $10. Dorothy, Josephine and her Auntie Sonia sang Happy B-day to her on voxer. Vedder and Grandma even helped her blow out her candles over and over on skype. Angela (her Nanny) gave her a ring (which she loved) brought over a giraffe picture for her to color and worked on holding up 2 fingers with her. What a lucky little lady.

WE LOVE YOU SWEET GIRL!!!

Spring Break, Baby Shower and Favorite Things...

Wow, Mike had his Spring Break the 3rd week in March and we were able to go up with some friends (Fitzner's and Harrison's) for a night and 2 days at the indoor waterpark in Sandusky...Castaway Bay! It was so much fun! Mostly for Vienna and Milo, but us adults had a great time playing, "Jungle Speed" which is quite intense and I would like to own it at some point.
We also got to do lots of other fun things with Daddy being home...walk to the Library for Storytime, Vienna and Daddy went to the Zoo on Monday while I was working, the weather was SO nice so it couldn't have been better. We got lots done around the house with our upcoming arrival. It went by too fast for sure.

Vienna LOVED this slide and by the afternoon, she wouldn't go down with anyone and had to do it all by herself. She's not even 2!!!

My good friend Jenny is the ultimate party hoster and wanted to throw me a baby shower, so of course, being Jenny, she did an amazing job and it was so much fun! Thanks to everyone who came and for the great company. Lincoln is now going to be such a stud with his adorable outfits and m-a-n-l-y things. It really hit that in just a couple weeks we will have another baby, and a boy at that. It's so cute to see how excited Mike is at the idea of having a little man. For everyone being students, Lincoln was still very spoiled and it is much appreciated.

All the outfits and manly accesories
Everyone has to have a chocolate mustache!

Attending the 2nd annual "Favorite Things exchange part" was lots of fun this year. It's a way to get to know other ladies better and share one of your favorite things with others and come away with 3 different favorite things. I was most excited about the tulips I got.
