May in a Nutshell

May is such a wonderful month! With Spring fully here and the transition to flipflops complete, May brings closure to a season. Vienna finished and graduated from preschool (who knew you couldn't graduate...lol)
brother time on the box, why not?
Our friends Brad and Brittany invited us to their Cinco De Mayo party. It was fun!
This was my last time with just him, now it will have to be all of them...yikes!
This was a fun date with my boys!
Vienna is so good at reminding us that there is a girl in the house, and we love it!(and our yellow piano)
painting and lots of it!
Popsicles on the playground with Mom for Mother's Day, was so nice!
Vienna and Everett have this cute little bond and I think its just because Vienna can play with him better than Lincoln can at the age of 3.
Our FHE activity!

We decided to take a spur of the moment overnight trip to Portland where we visited IKEA of course and the Zoo. We had a really great time and the kids did pretty good for no naps.
V on the horse
The boys on the horse..oh my they are handsome!
A FAMILY PHOTO...WHAT???? NO WAY???!! How did that happen????
Dramamine I love you, it helps even Vienna to fall asleep on me, I love it!
Considering I had done no prep, they travelled pretty good!
Seeing the bald Eagles was so neat.
Being in the Eagles nest was cool as well.
driving the safari jeep

Vienna's preschool class went to the Firestation and the boys got to come along. They had such a fun time!
In the truck
By the big firetruck!
The whole gang! They were the nicest guys ever.
These helmets are HUGE and HEAVY!

The best part was our visit with Mema and Papa, who love us enough to just come visit for no specific reason. We got to swim a lot, eat yummy food, go to a BBQ at Steve and Tiki's, play 500 and chat. Despite Lincoln having a meltdown tantrum everyday, it was perfect. Once they left he has been much better. Don't get me wrong he still has moments everyday, its not hours of tears and repeating the same thing over and over. He is such a sweet boy, but definitley has some "ISMS",,,I'm sure its his age.
He L-o-v-e-d his jetski and would not get off or share with anyone, hence the reason we own 2 now.
Love the goggles and play time, the kids are getting so good at swimming too! YAY!
We got to go on an adult only date!!! It was AH-MAZING. Uptown to shop followed by dinner at Fujiyama for hibachi, it was so fun!

What was also special was that Vienna was able to have both sets of grandparents at her graduation and let me tell you, this preschool (yes preschool) graduation did not disappoint. Who knew. There were programs, songs, sign language, walking across the stage with music and everything, it was adorable. Of course there was an after-party at Shakey's as well. (this is preschool, just in case you were wondering) We had a nice time and this little girl did so great signing her name in from of everyone and beating with sticks to the beat. She said she wanted to be a "princess ballerina fairy" when she grows up.
My oh my this little lady, our first little lady is 5 already and entering the public school system. She is such a pleasure and joy to have around. Love you sweet girl!
Cute kids!

Graduation Hat headband, that she didnt want to wear at all :(
The boys loving it out side, it was a full and hot packed house.
Mema and Lincoln at Shakeys

Steve and Tiki were so wonderful and invited us over for a BBQ and was SO nice to watch the kids play so well together and to just hang out. We loved it!

These 2 girls are both so girly and sweet! I love this picture.
cousin fun!

Each day is a blessing and things are getting SO much better. I have simply accepted my husbands schedule and my ward dynamics, I've opened up and been completely honest with those around me about how trying this year has been. May 23rd was our 1 year mark and things have come a long way. We have been blessed with wonderful neighbors, a great community, the perfect preschools and we are learning and growing in unexpected ways both as a couple and a family. I know we have much to learn and take from this past year, but I'm glad to put it back there and move forward to a FRESH year here in Pasco.
