Thanksgiving and Flexhaug's Visit

Thanksgiving in the US is always so much fun! Being a Canadian born and raised and now having lived in the States for 7.5 years I can say that the way they do it down here is so much for fun! I guess for me its that fact that it is always the last Thursday in November and that is when everyone is having Turkey dinner and playing turkey bowl and watching football. But more importantly is Black Friday and the official transition into Christmas. It is so fun! And considering it takes me a week to fully put Christmas up, its good to start earlier so I'm actually ready by Dec 1st. Although that didn't happen this year.

This year we had the pleasure of hosting the Flexhaug's. Lanae and her husband of almost a year (DEc 7th - which is also Mike's B-day) joined us at this holiday season and it was such a blast!!!
We had all types of weather, but it never really got too cold.
Licnoln being snuggly for some reason, but I'll take it!
The boys on their return home from Turkey-Bowl. No injuries...Thank heavens!
Vienna's line of toys that are all watching a show
Every year since we have been here we have participated in a pot-luck Thanksgiving dinner at the church where all of us who are students and without family get together and celebrate. It was a blast like usual and so nice to not have to cook an entire meal for 4 adults. However this is our last year doing it, so that means either LOTS of WORK next year or we might be close enough to go to Mike's folks (let's hope its the latter - I'm not sure if I'm ready for all the work). There is always tons of food, HORSE or PIG, kids running around and usually games.
It couldn't have been better
The kids really liked this spot!
In my attempt to take a candid shot of the boys playing ball, this is what I got...scary!
Trev's got the ball, you should have seen the dunk he did right after this picture. LOL
Friday morning was getting Christmas out and boy did the kids have fun, but it sure makes more work. That's the point though...letting them help.
The kids had a great time with Auntie Nae and Uncle Trev. Every morning the first thing Vienna would ask was "Can I go see Auntie Nae and Trev?"
Lincoln warmed really quickly too!
I loved this outfit and had to get a shot of it
This was as good as I could get of the 2 of them
Thanksgiving decorations before we began the transition
Until next year!
Lanae was so good to us and not only took Family pics but also my Maternity photos, to which I am so grateful! How adorable is this shot!
We are ready for a fun filled December and then winding down with another baby arriving. Can you believe I only have 4 weeks left! AWWWW! and YAY!!! all at the same time.

Everyday life and 32 weeks

We are enjoying the preparation for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We have Lanae and Trevor coming in just over a week and we can't wait! Here is what we have been up to lately...
Our friend has a connection at the Natural History museum, so we got to enjoy it for FREE! It was a blast!
Veinna waiting for dance class and Lincoln wanting to be apart of it all!
My little ballerina...I can't wait for her recital in December to Frosty the Snowman
What a little stud-man!
Vienna has completed the letters D, E and F at pre-school and we're moving on!
#32 and counting. My kids wanted to be in the picture with me and of course they are WAY cuter than I am. LOL! We couldn't be more grateful!

Oh and Lincoln had his surgery scheduled to fix his blocked tear duct on Monday and on Sunday his eye had appeared to have cleared up, so needless to say we didn't have to do the surgery! I seriously can't believe it! We couldn't be happier!

Halloween 2013

Ok, let me paint a picture... Wednesday Oct 30 - Gorgeous sunny Fall day, light breeze. We were outside all afternoon without coats on, raking and playing in the leaves, about 15 degrees (65) Thursday Oct 31 - Gloomy, overcast day with sprinkling off and on during the day. Breezy but still warm. Trick or treat time 6pm, rainy, super gusty but still warm (like 60) Of course! It had to be this way and now Friday Nov 1st - No rain, gloomy and windy but not too bad. Either way it was memorable and we got drenched. At least it was warm.
Anyway, out day began with a parade at Vienna's preschool, where her class all made their own tiger costumes to go along with their circus theme, The other pre-school classes made tigers and little did I know that we were parading around the entire elemetary school at Rowland. We went into some of the older kids classrooms and some of the other classes were lined up along the walls to cheer us all on. It was adorable! Lincoln was quite a hit too.
In Vienna's classroom just before we began the parade. Lincoln was in heaven!
What an adorable tiger!
Here's us starting our trek up the hill. I had to get the tail and show there there were even stripes on the back of her mask. They did a great job!
After the parade we came back to the classroom and did some songs. Lincoln want to join right in and sit in the chairs. Luckily there was extra.
Snack time included popcorn and clementine oranges. This is Vienna sitting beside her good friend Gracie!
Here is half of the group, we even got a picture of Mrs. Dana in there. She is just great! Going around the table is Vienna, Gracie, Will, Kelly and Andy.

Here are the kiddos in their pirate costumes before we began our adventure.
For some reason Vienna really wanted to wear those glasses and so she did to start out her trick or treating
Here's a pretty good one without movement or nerdy glasses.
Cute! When you would ask Lincoln what a pirate says he sayd "Arghh"
This one actually shows him with his hook!
Cheers to another year well celebrated! Next year who knows where we will be???
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Now on to a transition to Thanksgiving and Lanae and Trevor coming! We can't wait!!!
