Our Great Weekend!
Spring is definately here. The buds are emerging from the trees and bushes, flowers are in bloom. The wind is blowing and keeping things cool, but all in all spring is here. This past weekend we had a great time!!! Our dinner at the Huffaker's was delicious, but the company was the best part. Before the sun went down we did a short game of Bocchi (sp?) ball, which brings back fond memories. Then it was off to the Johnsons for some games. We played a new one called wits and wagers, which is very recommendable and then we did more "Celestial Companion Gaming." Its jut like the Newly Wed game, but more g-rated. Let me just say that Mike and I suck at this. We always have and I think we always will. Despite that fact that we have a great relationship and both feel like we communicate well, we still always come in last place. Either way I guess we are great entertainment for everyone else. That was a late night for us! Saturday was spent running around doing this and that, we went to Texas Road House (Thank you Grandma!) which was a highlight for Mike but the best part was we hit a milestone in our relationship...Our first concert together. Thats right we have been together for over 3 years, both love music but haven't been a concert yet. It was the Death Cab for Cutie Concert and it was alot of fun. We are lucky enough to live so close to downtown so we get to walk to everything. It was at the Morrison Center and the 2 opening bands weren't all that bad either. We had great seats and look forward to our Killer's Concert with Steve & Tiki, as well as the potential to see Dave Matthews at the Gorge...we'll see about this. I would love to go there one more time before we move far away for graduate school.

Easter
So this is my first post ever I think, Eth is making dinner and I just walked in the door from school and she was going to do this, but now I am. So lets get down the details about our fun and fabulous weekend. Ethney's mother (Barbie), little sister (Shelby) and Shelby's prom date (Braedon) all ventured in for the weekend. If you're not familiar with the exciting story of Shelby getting booted out of the USA, let me give you a quick recap. She came to school here in Boise for her senior year, went home for Christmas, and was never let back in. Anyways, Barbie, her and her date all spent the weekend here. On Friday we went to the last home Stampede game(a Developmental NBA team) and they won which was good. Since then they have lost their first playoff game and are done but whatever. The game was a blast and the halftime show was even better. A group called quick change was the entertainment, and let me just say if you have never seen them stop reading this not so hot post and go youtube them, its a way more exciting use of your time. We ended up staying up until about 2:30 in the morning playing mario kart wii that night, we tried going to bed but Barb was a bit addicted and wouldn't let us. On Saturday we went to the zoo and checked out the new giraffes and lions and Braedon and Shelby went to prom. We did get to go out to eat with them at the Cottonwood Grille, which was a bit too classy for me, but great food. The highlight of the entire weekend though was Easter. Church was good, don't get me wrong, but the after party was even better. We decided to load up some plastic easter eggs and go for a hunt, but to make it a little more exciting we headed across the street to a big empty field. We all went around and hid 4 or 5 eggs, and then began the search. Let me tell you something, Barb is a great easter egg hider, so good in fact, than 45 minutes after all the other eggs were found, Barb herself could not find the two largest, most copioulsy filled eggs, which she herself hid. I can assure you that as I type this very post some squirrel is out in that field enjoying my Lindt chocolate. After the exciting egg hunt we decided just to paint some eggs, and I was pretty surprised at the artistic expression that can be portrayed on an egg. Well I got to go eat, so check out the pics for a complete viewing of the weekend.

Spring Break
Well unlike most people, our Spring Break was pretty low key. We relaxed, watched all 3 X-men (thanks to the Emery's), hung out with friends, I worked 4 days, which was a record!!! and we went back to Tri-Cities for a few days. It was our first time going back to Richland, for no specific event, and for more than just a night. It was so relaxing. I'm the type of person that if I am at home there is always something to do, so getting away forces me to relax. We sure got some royal treatment. Here are some pics before we set out for the SE Washington Desert.

Ali & I showing off our masterpieces...strawberry margarita's, virgin, of course, before watching Mike's favorite movie, 'The Producers'

Matt & Mike looking a bit feminine with their fruity drinks

Russ & Mike enjoying Wally World after our delicious meal at Tucano's
When we first arrived we had a delicious meal of cordon bleu (Mike's request) that Peggy made from scratch, which were scrumptious! The next day was running around day, taken it easy and visiting with G-pa Ace ( I really have the biggest crush on him). That night we had to watch Kansas play Michigan State. Steve & Tiki invited us over for dinner, Swedish meatballs are quite delicious. They were a first for me. And visited with our niece, Lola & nephew, Ollie.

Steve & Lola just cuddling on the couch. She is such a lover.

Lola is a great dog, she lets Steve hang her on her head and everything. She is a chicken though, scared of the flash on the camera. What a girl?

Ollie & Tiki hanging out playing fetch in the house he loves to run & play. Poor Kansas loosing in the background :( Mike's heart was broken.
On saturday after breakfast at McDonald's that Mike's family does every week without fail, we went to Bree & Trason's for crafting, visiting & lunch.

While Bree & I were making our Chic Sheep, our bi-annual tradition to craft together and catch up with each other, Mike watched baby Bryson. What a great father in the making!

Oh are we nerds or what!!! We had a great time!
The ultimate excursion was the Bowling Tournament. Apparently Peg & Alan were on a league back in the day and put both couples up for a challenge. The loser bought dessert. We had our secret weapons...Grandpa Ace, who will be 95 in June has 2 bowling balls from when he played on a league and has since retired to he gave them to us in these classic 70's bags. Mike's is even initialed. what a great heirlume (sp?). It was great when we hauled these into the ghetto Pasco Bowling Alley. We looked official. Here are some pics.

Mike showing off our secret weapons...did it make us win...unfortunately not!

Tiki displaying her ultimate FLAMER bowling shoes. Wow are those hot stuff!

The Davis Boys, except for Mark, he would have been too much competition

The wonderful Steve & Tiki

And the instigators of it all Alan & Peggy
By the way, The parents won and they still bought us dessert a 3 Margarita's, we had our favorite...deep fried ice cream. I think they know we are tight with cashola, but someday we will treat you. We had a great time!!!
