Carving Pumpkins and Hallo-weekends...

Just a side not...so I uploaded pictures and thought I actually posted this like over a week ago, but apparently it never got posted. dah...

We invited a family over from our ward over Canadian Thanksgiving weekend (and Taylor - the husband) is actually from Lethbridge, so that is cool, but anyway we invited them over for some apple crisp and to carve a pumpkin. It was lots of fun, especially because their little girl, Pepper is just a few months older than Vienna, so they have fun together.
The Christensen's

The talented carver
These are the final products, we did the goofy face and they did the headless horseman
In the dark.

The next pics are from our adventure at HALLO-WEEKENDS. Mike and I decided to get seasons passes to one of the biggest theme parks in the US called Cedar Point. Anyway, it goes until the end of the year, so we had planned to do the HALLO-WEEKENDS a long time ago, but the logistics of this and a baby sitter and the time was super tricky. None the less we were determined to go, as we had our passes this year and won't any other year.
They turn the whole theme park into haunted houses and haunted mazes/walk throughs. It was neat to see the whole park transformed. Anyway, from 5-12am is when all the fun begins and it is about 1.5 hours away so needless to say it was a super late night for the old married couple (us) and our babysitter. (Im sure she loved it cause she made some good $$$) Lucky for her she actually got to sleep in, but our built-in alarm clock never fails us. (hehehe) It was fun and I wasn't as scared as I thought I would be. Dont get me wrong, it was scary, but not horrifying.
club blood, the first one we went into
The decorations were super cool
This graveyard in particular
More of it...
This ogre guy would wake up, say some stuff, move around. I thought it was AWESOME!!!
I want a bunch of these for my lawn someday, I loved them (you can't tell but they are about as tall as Mike and there were a whole bunch of different designs)
This is an old car all scare-i-fied.
On the one called "Blood on the Bayou" there was this boat with the double headed freak (if you look closely in the door) that was super disturbing.
This one was way creepy, and at the beginning it was a maze of all mirrors. It was cool, firghtening and annoying.
creepy toys...yuck!

Luckily we were able to do all the attractions, so that was super! I couldn't believe how many young kids there were. Either way, Mike and I had a great time and are glad we made it happen.
We are looking forward to our first Trunk or Treat and costumes this weekend!
